Engineering rule: Larger machines are beneficial only when actual throughput, crop/field compatibility, pump duty-point, part-load performance, travel and reliable operating hours justify them. More acres/day may increase total energy/day even while reducing energy/acre. Avoid oversized pumps, water waste, unsuitable tractors and unmanaged peak load.
